Stutterheim
Stutterheim is a Swedish outerwear brand founded by Alexander Stutterheim. The idea was born when Alexander discovered his grandfather’s old fisherman’s raincoat in the attic; a robust, classic and highly functional garment that inspired him to create a modern interpretation of the traditional Swedish raincoat. The result was a collection of handcrafted rain garments that combine minimalist design with durable materials and uncompromising performance.
The brand’s DNA is built on Swedish melancholy, craftsmanship tradition and a refined aesthetic that highlights clean shapes and thoughtful details. Stutterheim’s raincoats are crafted from heavy rubberised cotton or technical PVC coatings, often featuring welded seams and metal hardware to ensure maximum waterproofing. Each garment undergoes meticulous quality control, and several models are still produced by hand in Europe.
The design language is both timeless and contemporary, characterised by straight lines, pared down silhouettes and a colour palette inspired by Nordic coastal landscapes. The garments work equally well in urban environments as along windy, rain soaked shorelines, which has made the brand internationally popular among fashion enthusiasts and functional wear users alike.
Beyond the classic raincoat, Stutterheim has expanded its collection to include other outerwear styles, knitwear and accessories, all maintaining the same core values: quality, aesthetics and durable functionality. Every piece is created to protect the wearer from the elements without compromising on style.
At Vallgatan 12, Stutterheim reaches an audience that values Scandinavian design, resilient materials and outerwear that unites practicality with a clean, expressive aesthetic.
